Today I fished a spot within a spot for springtime catfish fun. Channel bends in rivers are excellent spots to find hungry catfish. I found a portion of the channel bend that had all the right elements for success with a deep hole that is close to the bank and then swings out creating a large shallow mud flat with a lot of wood cover on it. I was throwing large skip jack heads for bait.
