Tools used
✦ curved needles, AKA upholstery needles, mattress needles (get the right size for your thread, straight needles work too)
✦ cutting mat
✦ awl (alternatives: pin or thumbtack)
✦ bone folder (alternatives: back of spoon, popsicle stick)
✦ scissors
✦ box cutter
✦ metal ruler
✦ corner rounder (model: Akiles Diamond1)

Materials used
✦ waxed linen thread (alternatives: embroidery floss, beading thread, cotton twine, ribbon. these work for 1 to 2 signature binding, but waxed thread is ideal for multisignature binding. sewing thread is too fine.)
✦ 24 lb 90 gsm smooth writing paper (dot grid is printed on my laser printer)
✦ 80 lb cardstock
✦ papyrus paper
✦ mulberry/kozo paper
