Giving birth Japan is very different from what I'm used to experiencing in America. I'd equivocate the experience to being more like staying in a hotel/spa with gourmet meals, lots of pampering, and plenty of helpful postpartum care and support from the nurses and staff. And because the Japanese government provides a huge stipend to support families, the out of pocket cost was incredibly reasonable!

I had my baby in Japan back in September 2022 and documented my time there.
