We pull our canoes and paddleboards down the lake behind our bicycles, using a simple seat post hitch system. With just a bit of modification, a 1/2" rope or cable thimble creates a universal joint on the seat post that makes for troublefree pulling of any bike trailer that is designed to hitch to the seat post. I like simple, inexpensive, and reliable ways to do things, and my seat post hitch ticks all of the boxes for a Backwood Basics design.
