Buying a Ferrari California or California T? Then this is the video to watch. In this depreciation and buying guide of the Ferrari California, I will show you how much the values changed in the last year and how much the car depreciates per 1000 miles. Moreover, I will show you how these numbers compare to the Lexus LC500 and the Jaguar F type.

In last year’s California video I showed that prices already started at 75,000 dollars. Yet, a lot has changed in one year. Most sports and supercars went up in price. In this video I will show you if also the California saw a value surge.

We start with an overview of the California market. This overview already shows us that something happened in the market. It appears that the California didn’t depreciate as the cheapest cars are now going for 80,000 dollars. Unsurprisingly, when we look at the price increase, we find that prices went up. Moreover, this price increase goes for the complete market. Yet, there is a bit more to it than that. Prices didn’t increase equally for all market segments. The increase is more severe for the California market than for the California T market. For both markets, the depreciation pattern didn’t change. A comparison of the price increase in the Ferrari California market to other cars such as the Porsche 911, shows that the price increase is in line the rest of market. However, most likely, the increase is just a temporary effect.

Finally, at the end of the video, I show you how the depreciation per 1000 miles in the California market compares to the one in the LC500 and Jaguar F Type R market. The latter two have a significant lower depreciation and this goes especially for the ftype. Therefore, if you are concerned about the depreciation, you might want to check out those cars. They are also a lot cheaper to purchase.
