Sääksisäätiön uusin pesäkamera toimii Muoniossa. Kyseessä lienee maailman pohjoisin sääksikamera sijaiten noin 160 km pohjoiseen napapiiriltä. Kamera kuvaa sääksien itse rakentamaa luonnonpesää. Pesäpaikka on nyt ollut asuttuna 23 vuotta, vaikka samaisessa puussa on ollut aikaisemminkin sääksen risulinna. Viime ja toissa kesänä pesältä rengastettiin kolme poikasta. Sääkset saapuvat näille pohjoisen pesäpaikoille vasta toukokuun alkupuolella.

The new nest cam of the Finnish Osprey Foundation operates in Muonio, Finnish Lapland. The nest locates about 160 km (100 miles) north from the polar circle. The nest is natural, built by the ospreys themselves. This nest has now been inhabited for 2 or 3 years. Both 2020 and 2021 three chicks were ringed here. Ospreys arrive to these northern nests at the beginning of May when there is still snow and ice covers the lakes.
