What you should know before moving air conditioner unit.

Your air conditioner is not a plug and play appliance. Whether you need to simply "unhook" your outside ac unit or move it to a different location...you are basically needing to uninstall and reinstall your outside ac unit. If you are moving ac unit to other side of the house or just a few feet, there are some serious things to consider before you uninstall your air conditioner.
1. It can be costly so you may wait to move your outside ac unit until you replace it with a new one. Better to not spend the money to move an older unity.

2. Do you have access to the refrigerant and electrical lines in the area you want to move the air conditioner to?

3. If you are moving the outside ac unit, have a professional hvac company do it for you so you don't lose all of your refrigerant and it is reconnected properly.

4. Make sure you do not move it near a dryer vent or other heatproducing areas.
