In this travel vlog, we take a day trip to Miyajima Island to see one of the most scenic places in Japan. The island of Miyajima is less than an hour away from the modern city of Hiroshima. This Shrine Island is located in the Western part of the Seto Inland Sea of Japan and is where you would find the giant floating red torii gate. A ferry trip to Miyajima is one of the best things to do while visiting the modern city of Hiroshima. Miyajima is also home to the famous Japanese deer. The shika deer have historically been worshipped and their presence adds to the enchanted atmosphere of the island. The Japanese deer are friendly and casually roam the island's streets much like those in Nara Park.
