The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is a money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog for the world economy. It helps countries combat corruption, tax fraud, trafficking and other types of organised crime. It sets international standards and shapes the policies and reforms needed to prevent these illegal activities that undermine our economies and our societies. Paul Vlaanderen, who chaired FATFXXI in 2010, explains.
