My toddler threw applesauce all over the kitchen when he was "all done." I was trying to teach him that this was something that could not happen again. But I have to admit this video cracks me up when I play it back because of his facial expressions, excuses & reasoning and especially the fact that he tries to blame it on the dog. He sat patiently in time out while I spent a few minutes wiping up the mess and then he told everyone about it afterwards "I threw sauce on the floor & go to timeout." This incident took place almost a week ago and he has not made a mess like this again so I guess not getting to go to his friend william's house right away was a good natural consequence.
Normally I would include my kids in the cleaning process but Sean Patrick loves to clean so it was more of a consequence for him to have to sit out while I cleaned it.

I may sound condescending, but I was trying to sound serious because I wanted to laugh.
