The Minnesota Vikings honor hometown hero, Major Mark Weber of the Minnesota National Guard, during their Military Appreciation game on November 7th, 2010. Major Weber has a distinguished career serving the nation. While preparing to join General David Petraeus' staff in Afghanistan, Weber learned that he has a rare form of stagefour pancreatic cancer. Maj. Gen. Rick Nash, the Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard, presented the award and promoted Weber to lieutenant colonel.
