Conceived in part by Winston Churchill, Operation Source was a daring plan to take out several German ships including the infamous Tirpitz that were positioned in Fjords in Norway. Mini submarines or XCraft were used to deposit charges nearby the hull. This incredibly brave tactic was a David vs Goliath battle was one that put the Tirpitz out of action for 6 months but it also came at great cost to the men involved in the mission.
