A Black Star

As the anticipation builds for the highlyanticipated showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, rapper Lil Pump has thrown his support behind the younger contender. Speaking with TMZ Sports at LAX, Pump shared his thoughts on the upcoming July 20 bout, predicting a victory for Paul.

"I feel like Jake is just faster, he's younger," stated Pump, emphasizing the advantages that could tilt the scales in Paul's favor despite Tyson's vast experience in the ring. "Obviously, Mike's got experience, but Jake's gonna do what Jake's gonna do. It's gonna be a very interesting fight ... but Jake got this one."

The "Gucci Gang" rapper's endorsement comes from a personal place. He recently experienced Paul's power firsthand after taking a liver shot from the 27yearold former Disney star while recording an episode of the "BS w/ Jake Paul" podcast. The impact left a significant impression on him.
"That s*** hurt," Pump recounted. "I'll tell everybody this, man. That s*** hurt more than a face shot ... my fing liver was fed up for like a whole day."

Despite the pain, Pump admired Paul's prowess and joked about the aftermath of the punch, saying, "I was thinking about going to the doctor and checking it, but that's some py boy s. I ain't gonna go to no doctor for a liver punch."

Despite predictions from boxing veterans, Pump stands firm on Paul's potential to outmatch Tyson
While many boxing greats, including Lennox Lewis, Chuck Liddell, and Tyron Woodley, believe Tyson will easily dispatch Paul, Pump's support for Paul reflects a different sentiment. He acknowledges Tyson's formidable legacy but insists that Paul has what it takes to emerge victorious.
Even as he roots for Paul, Pump expressed a healthy respect for Tyson's power, admitting he'd fear for his life if faced with taking a punch from the 57yearold legend.

As the fight draws closer, opinions remain divided, but one thing is clear: Jake Paul has at least one vocal supporter in his corner as he prepares to face one of boxing's greatest legends.
