Miesfeld’s Meat Market has been a familyowned and operated meat market located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin since 1941. Three generations and over 75 years later they are still providing customers with quality guaranteed meats and friendly personal service. Meat and Sausage is their business, and they know it well. They serve over 125 area restaurants, make over 50 different kinds of sausages and handle more than 400 meat items. They are a onestop shop for all your cooking and grilling needs. Charcoal, condiments, marinades, homemade BBQ sauces are just a few of the grocery items they carry. They feature over 150 fine wines that were carefully selected by their wine expert. They carry one of Sheboygan’s largest selections of local and Wisconsin cheeses with 100 different kinds to choose from. The newest addition to their building showcases additional products made right here in Wisconsin and a Chief’s Corner where their dedicated staff creates new recipes for dishes daily.

However, you can’t visit Sheboygan without enjoying the staple item that has made Sheboygan famous for over 50 years: the bratwurst. Miesfeld’s is, not surprisingly, home to the grand champion bratwurst as well as over 25 varieties of bratwurst. Their champion brat uses fresh lean pork and their Grandpa’s 60yearold secret spice recipe. But, few people know the process that goes into putting these delicious meats on display for your purchase.

Behind the scenes, you’ll witness meat being ground up, summer sausage and snack sticks being packaged, bacon getting prepped to be smoked and links of bratwurst getting ready to be shipped out or put on display in the store. The sheer quantity of products that leave this building is astonishing. Most of the bratwurst you see hanging on racks will undoubtedly be consumed within a week. If you are visiting Miesfeld’s on a Saturday between 9 and 2 take the opportunity to enjoy fresh brats cooked on a charcoal grill that’ll be served hot on a Sheboygan hard roll.
