I don't give up that easy! Today I'll be finishing a new land clearing project, which will be a new micro food plot for deer in the woods. In today's field episode I'll be using my Bobcat E42 R2 series mini excavator to finish a new trail system and a new clearing in the woods on our newly created 22 acre Southern Illinois property. Now I had a really nice, albeit old, wooden home made deer tower that I had salvaged all set and ready to go until we got hit with a 70mph wind storm, and the storm knocked over this 3500 lb wooden deer tower and smashed out at least one of the glass windows and cause some other damage!! But fear not, I don't give up that easy. So after today's completion of the new clearing in the woods I'll get to work at repairing the old wooden deer tower, getting it hoised back upright, assessing the damage and usability and then cutting a new, wide and flat road into the hardwoods so that I can hopefully set up this 2nd deer tower on our new 22 acre Southern Illinois hunting land parcel! Fingers crossed, this will be another unique challenge to be sure!
