The Miami Hurricanes are expected to be one of the more aggressive teams when it comes to seeking difference makers in the Transfer Portal. The portal will be opening on Tuesday, April 16th. Miami likely feels urgency to surround quarterback Cam Ward with the best team possible and a sense of confidence in Ward’s ability to attract top talent to Coral Gables. The Hurricanes are reportedly interested in seeking top playmakers at running back, cornerback, safety, receiver, and defensive line.

Host Alex Donno breaks down top running backs like Oregon State’s Damien Martinez and North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton. Martinez has already declared for the portal. With Hampton, it may not happen, but there have been rumors. Donno explains how many players will likely leave Miami through the portal and lists some players he hopes the Hurricanes can keep, including QB Jacurri Brown and RB TreVonte’ Citizen. Pro Football Focus Analyst Max Chadwich joins the show. Max would consider Miami’s Rueben Bain to be a top five NFL Draft prospect at defensive end if he was eligible. Bain is not eligible for the NFL until the end of the 2025 season, thankfully. Chadwick tells Donno where he ranks Miami players Cam Ward, Xavier Restrepo and Kiko Mauigoa heading into next year’s NFL Draft.
