I spotted these adobe ruins while I was heading south, and I knew I wanted to go check them out on my way north. The roads are too narrow to pull the motorhome off, so I had to drive to the nearest town and ride the E Bike to the ruins. Once arriving to the town, it was clear quickly that almost all of the buildings and businesses are abandoned. It is a strange contrast seeing several generations of history sitting abandoned in the desert, but I knew I wanted to go metal detect the adobe site. This ended up being an amazing site to detect, because there was lots to find, but not an overwhelming amount of iron to sift through. The only thing I would have liked was more time to detect, but I still had many miles to cover.

I am making my way north and towards cooler weather, but I had to stop in Puertecitos for one more visit with Xochitl, and a day of fishing. I am so excited to say that I FINALLY had a successful day of fishing solo, and I caught a beautiful Sierra. Catching new and exotic fish is so fun, and it is so interesting learning to prepare and cook them. The final scene of this episode is of course the MoHo Cooking show preparing my Sierra, and it turned out amazing.
