Will Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax beat Griot's Garage Ceramic 3in1 Wax? Today we test these two popular SiO2 ceramic infused spray waxes. We will check durability, gloss, slickness, ease of application, and visual appeal. Both products claim they're highly hydrophobic and easy to use. Griot's claims extreme durability and intense gloss. Meguiar's offers wet application as you wash. Let's see which wins our showdown!

Comparison of my past wax tests: https://dmitrysgarage.com/wax

We start out our video by testing ease of application. We applied both the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax and Griot's Garage Ceramic 3in1 Wax to our test hood. Both products were very easy to use, just spray on and buff off. I would say the Griot's is a little easier than the Meguiar's. Overall both are super simple! They each scored a point for easy wax application.

The gloss of both products was tested with our Gloss Meter. The Griot's product won here, with a slight hit to the gloss at 93.7GU from a base of 94GU. The Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax didn't do quite as well and knocked 89.2GU from a base of 94GU. Overall that's not unexpected as many waxes knock down the gloss.

When it came to slickness both the Ceramic 3in1 Wax and Hybrid Ceramic Wax performed very well. They were both quite slick and scored a point. The Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax performed slightly better.

For visual appeal testing I found that I really enjoyed how the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic looked on our test panel. It gave a rich deep gloss, like a second clear coat. The Griot's 3in1 product also performed well, but was more of a high gloss product than deep wet. It popped more, but I prefer the look of the Meguiar's product.

When it came to durability testing the Meguiar's won out with 12 washes. Not a record breaker, but a decently durable product. Griot's on the other hand was not particularly performant. It scored just 7 washes, which is not terrible, but not good either. I was really hoping one of these products would have more durability. The cool part about the Meguiars product is that after an initial application you could spray it on and then rinse it off during your regular washing cycle. It's a great way to top up the wax wherever you wash.
