Wowee this day did not disappoint! We last visited Nara back in 2017 and were awestruck by the friendly wild deer that lived there so vowed the next time we came to Japan this would be at the top of our list! These sacred deer have been designated as a natural treasure of Japan and it's easy to see why, armed with some crackers we have some amazing encounters, we get mobbed, chased, nibbled, headbutted, kissed by gahd you name it! The fascinating thing about these animals is they have not been domesticated but you can still feed them and interact with the little fellows, fascinating!
