In this video, I read out my personal statement for medical school which resulted in a successful Oxford Medicine application. In the second half of this video, I also comment on each paragraph and what I think I could have done better, with some tips for Medicine / Oxford applicants.

Having done many personal statement reviews over the past two years, I can now look back on my old personal statement with a much more critical eye, through which I can see many flaws and mistakes. Please be aware that this is NOT the perfect personal statement (far from it) and don’t assume that you can get an interview invitation just by writing a similar personal statement. Personally, I think the other aspects of my application (academic grades, BMAT, other achievements, etc) helped me a lot more!
