Massive cleanup set at Mavericks pushed surfers into the rocks during a lateseason swell on April 22, 2022. Jet ski driver Parker Guy called it, “one of the most hectic rescues” he’d ever seen. Various surfers lost their boards and several injuries were reported during the chaos. Big wave surfer Francisco Porcella was among those that got detonated: “Mavericks reminded us all who’s the boss out here.”
