The EVAP system was introduced in 1970 here in California. Its main reason for the introduction was to prevent fuel vapors from entering the atmosphere.



Their are 2 different types of EVAP systems:
NonEnhanced was used form 19961999 and it only checked for vapor flow.

Enhanced EVAP systems started in 2000 and it checked for leaks and flow.
