Gday folks, I found this massive gold nugget while metal detecting with the Minelab GPZ 7000 in the Golden Triangle. I thought it was rubbish at first being so shallow, but I never leave a target in the ground. I found a shallow nugget in the area a few months earlier, so after clearing a few inches off the top and the target still in the ground, we were half a chance of getting a nice bit of gold.
