You put in all the work crocheting at every available moment. You tag everything, show up at the event, set up, and wait. The first sale comes quickly, leading you to believe that today will be a good day.

But it wasn't. In fact, you only made 4 sales.

Has this ever happened to you? It happened to me at my most recent market. It's disappointing, even if you have your expectations in a reasonable place. This was my worst market ever for sales, but I did learn some lessons. Also, there are a few good things that happened because of this event!

1. I don't have to remake any caterpillars! If you know, you know.

2. A lot of items are tagged already, meaning less tagmaking in the future!

3. I learned my canopy isn't waterproof... (which is a good thing because I can fix it but a bad thing because I have to fix it)

While this event was disappointing and could have resulted in a better turnout, it just solidified my desire to continue doing festivals. And if you had a bad market, don't quit! You'll find something you like, I'm sure of it!
