It's been nearly ten years since I began cooking in cast iron, and it's been nearly five years since I did a video showing off my cast iron collection. I do want to thank everyone who watched that video and enjoyed it, and after five years it's time to do a followup. I'm a little embarrassed to say my collection has gotten bigger since then. In addition to acquiring some additional vintage cast iron pans, I'm now the proud owner of several modern pans that I intend to use as much as the vintage pieces. Between 2015 and 2020 the popularity of cast iron has exploded, and there has been a lot of brand new modern cookware produced to catch people's attention. I've fallen for temptation a few times, and the results can be seen here. So, if you'd like to watch me rambling about vintage and modern cast iron for the next twentyfive minutes or so, let's get started.
