Hanifaru Bay, a protected Unesco Reserve in Baa Atoll (Maldives) is the best place in the world to swim and do snorkeling with Manta Rays (and Whale sharks if you're lucky).

We had the chance to go there twice during our last trip to the Maldives in late 2020 and Vakkaru organised some snorkeling trips with Manta Rays at Hanifaru Bay.

We were able to swim with hundreds of mantas for more than 40 minutes, enjoying the beauty of these gentle creatures.

Hanifaru Bay is a Unesco reserve where you can snorkel not only with Manta Rays, but also with Whale Sharks who often come to feed.

This is definitely the best spot in the world for people looking to do snorkeling with Manta Rays. This Maldives spot is full of Mantas from April to December so the probability of seeing them is extremely high.
