Old dogs in Independence, Missouri, will have a place to call home in their final years, even if they’re never adopted.

It’s called Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary and it recently opened to house senior dogs, WDAF reported.

Named after Shep, a 10yearold beaglebasset hound mix adopted by Russell Clothier.
