Making the Letters PoP in Chainsaw Carvings the Master Question Cedar versus Black Walnut #chainsaw The black gold in black walnut is a lot deeper than the red gold in Cedar. I’m afraid if I go down to the black goals in the walnut, it may hurt the integrity of the letters? Or do I just trim the letters down so they’re only an inch and a half or so proud of the black gold? I’d love to hear your input? Am I overthinking it? Should I just go for it? What do you think?
