In this video I am making one of the coldest/iciest/mintiest substances known, Icilin. It is a superagonist of the TRMP8 ionchannel which is a receptor on our mucous membranes that gives us the cold feeling from temperature and food such as mint. The compound is not found in nature and is fully synthetic, there are no other known natural compounds that induce a colder feeling. Supposedly the compound WS12 should feel colder but is less potent, which I will make later to compare.
