On 12/6/23 around 11:45 AM PST, 911 dispatchers received calls regarding an active shooter. Multiple agencies responded to the campus and received more reports of shots fired at another area of the campus. University alert sent out a notification and told students and staff to evacuate certain areas and others to hide and lockdown. Officers encountered a suspect and quickly neutralized the threat. Multiple reports continued to come in and more officers and SWAT teams were requested. Multiple victims were found wounded and some deceased. Multiple agencies continued to deploy and respond to the campus and secure the area. Federal agencies also activated and responded.
