Abstract:
Functional effects allow building programs as pure, immutable values, which are later interpreted (stepbystep) into the sideeffects they describe. This simple concept, implemented in ZIO, Monix, and other libraries, opens up a world of new programming techniques in which the impossible becomes possible.

In this entertaining and educational keynote by John A. De Goes, architect of ZIO, you'll learn some cool magic tricks that will help you solve realworld problems with newfound levels of reusability, typesafety, and testability.
