MACROSS FRONTIER was a show that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross. It was so successful that a compilation movie was planned, yet, the project got so big that it was separated into two different movies: The False Songstress & The Wings of Farewell. The first movie is more or less a recap of the first couple of episodes but the second takes a complete detour from the original plot in order to tell a much more impactful story.

My name is Absa, and in this video I'll try to explore how the Macross Frontier movies complement the original series by maintaining certain elements the same while completely changing others in order to explain better some parts and also, to take the stakes to an even higher level.
