Europe's key Star Alliance player, Lufthansa, predicts that the longawaited Boeing 7779 won't be delivered until at least 2026. The airline's Chief Executive Officer, Jans Ritter, offered the update to reporters at a recent Lufthansa event. The carrier is patiently awaiting 27 firm orders for the latest 777 variants and is among the launch customers for the 777X, which most recently was expected to enter service in 2025.
