Lucknow is famous all over the world for its culture and traditional arts, which include Chikankari and many more. But there is also something that is disappearing from this royal city, that is the art of bone carving which started from this city but now it is slowly disappearing.
Perhaps the last master of this art in this city is Jalaluddin Akhtar who lives in Old Lucknow.

लखनऊ अपनी संस्कृति और पारंपरिक आर्ट्स के लिए दुनिया भर में मशहूर है, जिसमें चिकनकारी के साथ ही और भी बहुत कुछ शामिल है। लेकिन कुछ ऐसा भी है जो इस शाही सिटी से गायब हो रहा है वो है वो हड्डी पर नक्काशी की क ला जिसकी शुरुआत इसी शहर से हुई लेकिन अब ये धीरे धीरे गायब हो रही है।
इस शहर में शायद इस कला के आखिरी माहिर कलाकार जलालुद्दीन अख्तर हैं जो कि पुराने लखनऊ में रहते हैं।
