You've been asking me to share what RV Lubes, Sealants and Protectants that I use so here it is. As a traveling—full time RV Veteran—you learn to take care of your RV often. Using the right products on ANY RV is important. Many of you have been asking me what types of RV Lubes, Sealants and Protectants I carry and use all the time. So I decided to cover that today. There are so many things in an RV that need constant attention to keep them operating right and make them last. Applying the right Lubes, Sealants and Protectants takes no more time than applying the wrong products. In my world, when I tackle any job, I want to do it right. And by doing it right—and often—you prevent unnecessary wear and breakdowns. I highly encourage you—if you haven’t already—get a plastic bin, or a box, or something and populate it with the correct Lubes, Sealants and Protectants for your RV. That way they’ll all be there in one place, you’ll have easy access to them any time and it will encourage you to use them often. Whether it’s a slide lubricant, lubricating your Kwikee steps, taking care of all your slide rubber seals, sealing your roof seams, sealing a leaking window or what have you, get into the habit of using them often.

Did you notice I don’t carry WD40 ? That’s because WD40 is not a lubricant. It’s a water displacement product. WD40 will actually dry out internal parts that need to be lubricated. WD40 is good for maybe loosening or cleaning things up, but you must add a proper lubricant afterwards to make things last and operate properly.
