The media have settled into a “fouryearnap” which is shaping up to be “more lovedup and nauseating to watch than a naughty weekend with Charles and Camilla” according to Sky News host James Morrow.
Mr Morrow said, “the snoring of somnolescent journalists” has accompanied the ascension of President Joe Biden to the White House after four years of “obsessive, histrionic, hysterical, competitively outraged and downright bonkers coverage of the Trump administration”.
He pointed to the double standards in the media’s treatment of Trump and Biden saying, the media cheered when Ivanka Trump’s fashion line closed down but have celebrated the Kamala Harris’s niece Meena’s social justice fashion.
Similarly, while Donald Trump was criticized for using an eagle on his campaign material for using “Nazi imagery,” Joe Biden’s decision to use an eagle on his presidential seal has received no negative backlash.
Mr Morrow said the new “first commandment of Washington journalism” was, if you can’t find anything nice to say about the Biden’s, say nothing at all.
Reporting on the coronavirus has also changed in response to the Biden Administration with CNN taking the coronavirus death counter off its screens.
“All those COVID deaths are only on the president's head when the president is a Republican it seems," Mr Morrow said.
