London Queen Mary's Rose Gardens at Regent's Park (Regents Park). Let's travel to the city of London and let's visit Queen Mary’s Gardens at Regent’s Park (or Regents Park) which is a worldfamous garden in London, England. Queen Mary’s Gardens (or, Queen Mary's Rose Gardens) were opened to the general public at Regent’s Park (or Regents Park) in London in 1932 and feature more than 12,000 individual roses.
Regent's Park is one of several royal parks dotted in and around central London. Regent's Park precise location is the northwestern corner of central London, close to Camden and Marylebone. Regent's Park occupies two square kilometres and incorporates beautiful gardens, lakes, an open air theatre, a canal and the famous London Zoo.
Regent's Park was developed in the midnineteenth century as part of a scheme which involved the urbanisation of a swathe of land stretching from Buckingham Palace all the way up to the park, and included the building of Regent Street. The development of Regent's Park was dreamed up by the then Prince Regent, an ostentatious prince, who wished to leave a royal legacy in London, and designed by John Nash, whose stucco style architecture, mimicking the classic Greek and Italian style, still exists today and can be found around Regents Park.
Regents Park is arguably one of the most interesting parks in London, and has some of the finest gardens.
