Graham Kerr is from Cork City in the south of Ireland. He is a fulltime Firefighter with Cork City Fire Brigade and Director of Cork Lifeguard Academy. Graham has taught water safety and lifesaving skills as a volunteer for over fifteen years. With Cork County Council, he worked as a Beachguard for two seasons and a Senior Beachguard for five seasons. Also, he was employeed as an Assistant Water Safety Development Officer with the County Council for almost four years. Launched in April 2022, the motto of his Lifeguard Academy is “Lifeguards training Lifeguards”. Because they employee experienced Lifeguards to provide accredited and professional drowning prevention and Basic Life Support training. Thereby training a higher standard of Lifesavers and Lifeguards for their communities.
