The bald eagle is one of the most majestic and revered species in North America. The bird also represents one of the greatest conservation success stories in history. The bald eagle was nearly driven to extinction in the 1960s. Thanks to decades of protection and conservation work, the bird has enjoyed an amazing recovery. This footage, captured at Barr Lake State Park, shows how bald eagle populations have soared in Colorado. The video also provides some general facts about these amazing birds.
