Little Giant trap - ALWAYS COVER FULLY BEFORE TRAPPING

Follow
Kitty Charm School

This trap is more difficult if you might accidentally get a skunk. Learned a trick to releasing an unwanted animal though Just unlock the door and gently turn trap on it's side so animal can get out.
Remember to always cover your traps completely with a large beach towel or blanket. It helps to tuck them underneath it so that they stay put. If you trap an animal who feels exposed, they can injure themselves. I've seen a cat pull out their own fingernails from trying to get out of a trap. If it is completely covered in a blanket, they stay calm. I also like to position the trap somewhere safe feeling for the animal – between two bushes, under a car, etc. Don't trap an animal in an exposed area. I always place on the most level ground possible. Otherwise the trap can be rolled and the animal can get out. If borrowing one of Kitty Charm School traps, you are under the agreement that you will replace it if it is lost or stolen (100$ est for this one). You are also under the agreement that you will not harm any animals. No matter what kind of animal you trap, including a rat, it is to be released back into the wild – preferably right where it was trapped in case it has babies nearby. Our goal is to help lost or Feral Cats, not to hurt other animals.
