Wow, I can't believe it's already been three years since my last YouTube video! A lot has happened since then, but for the most part, I have been busy creating new prints. You can check them out at   / maarit.hanninen  .

Last year, I moved from my small home studio to my own atelier—a creative getaway situated in the last remaining farmland in Amsterdam. The new space offers room for a bigger press, and in this video, you'll get a glimpse of both the atelier and the press.

Join me as I create my latest linocut print, "From The Ashes." Inspired by the mythical phoenix bird and the transformative times we've all experienced, this print captures the essence of growth and renewal. At 42 x 59.4 cm (16.5 x 23.4 in), it's my largest print to date.

I'll also share some exciting new techniques, including how to transfer an image using a laser printer, sticker backing paper, and Mod Podge or acrylic matte medium. Plus, I'll show you how to fix small carving mistakes using epoxy putty like Milliput.
