Limitless Crown Anchor w/ ART Doublesnapper 3 Retrieval

Follow
Jacob Nau

A close look at how you can set up, use, and retrieve (under control) the Limitless Crown Anchor. This system was developed by Pennsylvania climber Jake Riggs and is available for purchase in it's entirety from www.wesspur.com.

This is an advanced SRS crown anchoring system for professional tree climbing that incorporates a flint locker (soft 8) and an adjustable ringandring friction saver for use as a "canobase".

I have modified this system slightly by adding the ART Doublesnapper 3 for maximum retrieval control, of the system, from the crown of the tree.

LCA Pros:
Maximum crown anchor flexibility.
Two independent SRS crown anchors using the same retrieval line.
Quick SRS crown anchor advancement in the crown (with the "canobase" portion).
Integrated access line.
Minimal friction upon retrieval.
Cost effective ($110 as of 08/2023)

LCA Cons:
If you are unfamiliar with flint locker and "canobase" usage, it is a complicated system.
Is gear intensive (two ropes, two climbing systems, etc.)
There is a learning curve for installing this system efficiently.

Thanks for watching!
