Lucky escape for father and daughter and daughter A father and daughter have described their horror as their parked car was dragged down a busy street by an articulated lorry and overturned while they were trapped inside last night. Cecil Thorne and his daughter Nerissa Thorne screamed for help as his Reliant Robin car was pushed backwards by the lorry. The car then rolled over, trapping the terrified pair inside during the drama in East Street, Southampton. Passersby raced to free the couple from the vehicle which was leaking petrol. They were both pulled out of the wreckage by a quickthinking offduty coastguard and a nearby shop worker.
