Lexus ISF valved exhaust comparison: PPE UEL Headers with Xforce Varex vs PPE dual mode.

Here we have two 2012 Lexus ISF’s with V8’s and the same PPE Engineering catless unequal headers but with different catbacks.

Black F: PPE catless headers with the PPE dual mode exhaust. This particular one also has Magnaflow high flow catalytic converters welded in. This catback is a vacuum controlled design, so it needs a bit more time to close or open and does not have partly open options in between. Their design was aimed more at a “muffler delete” sound so both closed and open, it is louder though closed has less bass and is more docile. Owner of the black F had both these valved exhausts and confirms that PPE catback fitment and welds were better.

White F: PPE catless headers with catless Xforce Varex catback. The mufflers are valved so they can be fully closed with exhaust going through the muffler, partly open, or fully open with exhaust going through the highly resonated muffler. Similar to a muffler delete, but because it’s equivalent to big resonators it’s still very docile with minimal drone open, and zero drone closed. The remote has open and close buttons but can be clicked like a TV remote control to have 6 stages between fully open or closed. The mufflers have electronic actuators similar to car window motors. White F had no fitment issues with the catback but can confirm better gaskets are recommended.

Price difference between catbacks is $1100 Xforce Varex vs $2800 PPE dual mode+ HFC cost depending on which you get.
