After years of working life, we realised that we had accumulated far too much stuff for the simple early retirement life that we desired... including living in a house that was way too big for our needs. By reducing our possessions, we have created more space for the really important things in life like relationships, health, learning and building memories together.

We are by no means experts on minimalism, or extreme minimalists, but in this video we want to take you through the steps we took to simplify our lives in early retirement.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
