At Mobile World Congress 2024, Lenovo showed off a new concept device called Project Crystal, which the company claims is the world’s first laptop with a transparent microLED display. Commissioned by Lenovo’s ThinkPad division, Project Crystal is meant to explore potential use cases for systems with transparent displays. And while there are no plans to turn the concept into a retail device, between its screen and a touchbased keyboard, Lenovo’s latest concept feels like a glimpse at our future scifi laptops.
