The Airbus A380 is a doubledeck, widebody, fourengine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner, capable of carrying up to 853 passengers in a singleclass configuration, though typically it accommodates around 550 passengers in a typical threeclass layout.

The A380 was first introduced into commercial service in 2007 by Singapore Airlines, and it has since become a flagship aircraft for many major airlines worldwide. It was designed to challenge the dominance of the Boeing 747 as the world's premier longhaul airliner, offering airlines increased capacity and operational efficiency.

Key features of the A380 include its distinctive doubledeck design, spacious cabin interiors, advanced aerodynamics for improved fuel efficiency, and modern avionics systems. Despite its impressive size, the A380 is known for its quiet and comfortable passenger experience.

However, due to changes in market demand and the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on air travel, Airbus announced the discontinuation of the A380 program in 2019. Nonetheless, the aircraft remains in service with several airlines and continues to be a symbol of innovation and excellence in the aviation industry.
