Legal protection for catchphrases? Don’t shoot the messenger

My beige flag is that I had to actually research social media catchphrases (and didn’t know what the hell “my Roman Empire” was until I googled it).

The point is this:

Yes, you can TURN a catchphrase into a brand. (We’re going to use Lala Kent’s brand as an example here soon so DON’T YOU WORRY, I have examples!)

But all by itself? A catchphrase is just a catchphrase. It’s not a trademark.
