First steps to learning to surf using the right equipment and building good techniques that will help you learn to surf and help you get to the next level safer and faster. This is an intro video designed specifically for beginner surfers just starting out and looking for guidance using techniques that I designed as a coach of 30 yrs during my private lessons which have worked very well for my students. Step 1 is this video and getting you started with the right equipment, laying on the board in the correct position and how to practice going to your feet that will be used to do out of the water and applied to catching whitewash(foam) or small 12 foot waves on your own.
Watch pro surfers like Tom Curren, Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson, Mark Occhilupo(Occy) who are technique specialist from start to finish and others who are arial specialist and tube riders like John John Florence, Julian Wilson and Gabriel Medina. Technique is important along with being gifted.
This video is focusing primarily on the beginner or a novice surfer stuck in a rut. Its great to watch videos of your favorite surfers like Tom Curren or Kelly Slater who have great technique and watch where their hands push off the board and where their eyes are looking as they go to their feet. Using great technique isn't the easiest thing to do until you can really read waves and can get to the right take off spot with confidence. but you can start in the whitewash or small waves and get your instincts and quickness started until you can read the ocean and waves better.
