the most commonly used in the Spanish language and that is why here I explain how they relate to their English counterparts: this, these, that, those. Here you will learn a lot of vocabulary on this subject with many sentences as examples that can you can use
either on holidays or on normal days while speaking spanish.

Here is the vocabulary that you will find on the video:

ESTE, ESTA, ESTOS, ESTAS, ESTO… (THIS, close to the speaker)
ESE, ESA, ESOS, ESAS, ESO... (THAT, away from the speaker)
AQUEL, AQUELLA, AQUELLOS, AQUELLAS, AQUELLO... (THAT, farther away from the speaker)

ESTE… ESTOS... (this, these)
ESE... ESOS...(that, those)
AQUEL… AQUELLOS... (that, those, farther away)

ESTA / ESTO can always be used with the spanish adverb of place: AQUÍ / ACÁ (here):
este, esta, esto...

¿Cuánto cuesta esta taza? (How much does this cup cost?)

De quién es este diccionario? (Whose dictionary is this?)

ESA / ESO ​can always be used with the spanish adverb of place: ​AHÍ (there): ese, esa, eso…

Mira este bote rojo que está aquí. (Look at this red boat over here.)

Mira ese bote marrón que está ahí. (Look at that brown boat over there.)

Mira este chico aquí. (Look at this young man over here.)

Mira esa casa ahí. (Look at that house over there.)

AQUEL, AQUELLO(S), AQUELLA(S)
(even farther away from the speaker)

AQUEL, AQUELLA, AQUELLO, AQUELLOS… can always be used with the spanish adverb of place: ​ALLÍ / ALLÁ (there, far away): aquel, aquella…

Me gustan aquellas flores allí el el fondo. (I like those flowers over there in the background.)

Aquellas montañas se ven muy bonitas. (Those mountains look very nice.)

Este edificio está muy bonito, pero me gusta más esa iglesia y quiero visitar aquella torre allá atrás. (This building looks very beautiful, but I prefer that church over there and I want to visit that tower back there.)

We can also use these demonstrative pronouns in Spanish to talk about time, to refer to events:

ESTE / ESTO / ESTA: a current event from the present, here and now

ESE / ESO / ESA / AQUEL: an event from the past.

Está lección está clara. (This lesson is clear.)

Esa fiesta del viernes pasado fue aburrida. (That party last Friday was boring.)

ESTO / ESO / AQUELLO are also used as pronouns: alone. Without a noun

ESTE… / ESE.../ AQUEL… are always used with a noun

Eso suena bien. (That sounds good.)
